Transgender Day of Remembrance

  • Egans Creek Park Pavillion 2201 Atlantic Avenue Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 United States (map)

Please join us to commemorate the lives of transgender and gender-nonbinary individuals whose lives were prematurely taken due to violence over the past year.

We aim to increase understanding and dispel myths about the transgender and gender-nonbinary communities that can foment discrimination and empower people to commit hate crimes. Fernandina Beach Pride recognizes Transgender Day of Remembrance every year to spread awareness and shed light on this under-reported epidemic.

Victims will be remembered with, poetry, music, song, and prayer. We will be supported by clergy and members of Memorial United Methodist Church. All are invited. The service is expected to last 45 minutes.
